I’ve been working on this particular story for months, every chance I get. When I say I have never felt such raw emotions from this book… the situations I’ve put my characters through have made me deal with my own grief.
That’s something about being a writer that is so important, necessary even. You have to possess intense empathy to feel what your characters feel. My favorite books these days are very character driven, and maybe it’s because I’m more interested in the human condition than events.
I’ve cried buckets over this story in particular and I am truly stoked to share it once it’s done.
